You will be assessed using a range of methods such as practical tasks and written coursework within a portfolio of evidence. This portfolio will be used to determine your grade.

There is no requirement for you to have achieved any qualifications or units prior to undertaking this qualification, however a reasonable standard of computing skills will be required.
Level 2 Award in Cybersecurity
This qualification is designed for you to learn about cybercrime and understand routine protective methods used to maintain cybersecurity, including the principles of vulnerability and penetration testing and user access control.
The qualification is useful for job roles in industries where specific digital skills are required, such as finance, marketing, machining and manufacturing.
As well as learning the principles of vulnerability and penetration testing and user access control, you will learn about cybercrime and the risks and effects it has on individuals and organisations.
You will study:
• Security protection and risk management issues.
• Vulnerabilities.
• Measures to protect IT systems and data from current and evolving threats.
• Implementing measures to protect IT systems and data.
• Understanding current legal and ethical requirements, and IT security policies and procedures.
You will be assessed using a range of methods such as practical tasks and written coursework within a portfolio of evidence. This portfolio will be used to determine your grade.
