Please note: The HE Library has now re-located to the Learning Curve, ground floor in the main Barnsley College building. The HE Library in the Church St campus is now closed to students. If you wish to return books and have a valid student card, you can return books to the Learning Curve desk or the book return box, which is in the Learning Curve. If you do not have a valid student card, please leave books you are returning with reception in the main college building. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing new and returning students in the Learning Curve from September.

Getting started
NEW for 2020! Discover more with Discovery – one search site for Barnsley College books, ebooks and many online journal collections – and your OpenAthens Login.
Please ignore the error message on the login page and click on Institutional Login to continue. The Library are aware of this problem and are currently working on a solution.
Here are two information leaflets to get you started with Discovery:
OpenAthens is the gateway to all our online resources including journals, ebooks and much more! Most of these collections are included in Discovery (EBSCO) search. Watch out for a (D) after the database name on your MyAthens list to see exactly what is included. New to using Athens? Find out how to log on on our ‘Library Basics’ page!
Heritage is our Library catalogue. Heritage is included in Discovery searches, but you can also use this to search just for books, make reservations and manage your library account.
